The Iraqi leg of our current tour was a huge success. The Iraqis there were very receptive of our music. Almost every show sold out from Haditha to Nippur the fans were out and dancing. The greatest part about performing in Iraq were the fireworks shows that invariably broke out in the audience. They set off black cats in the stands, and they make some of the biggest bottle rockets I've ever seen in my life. The smoke and lights from the fireworks was great, we didn't even need our pyrotechnics crew, which worked out very well because they disappeared shortly after our arrival at Baghdad International Airport. We even brought "Chemical Ali" (He's a huge BBPH fan) up on stage for a moving rendition of "Send in the Clowns." All in all, it was a great experience not only for the guys in the band but for all the BBPH fans in Iraq.

We will be kicking of the next leg of our tour in the Soviet Union sometime in the near future. We're still in Iraq as guests of Ansar al-Sunna. His personal body guards are currently attending to us in preparation for a big show. We're a little hazy on the details but from what we understand it's going to be a huge blow out. It's either his 90th birthday, his 35th wedding anniversary, or a baby shower. Either way, we know it's going to be huge affair because we've heard the phrase "heads will roll" on several occaisions. Ansar al-Sunna is quite the perfectionist, and if things are just so, he lets his people know about it. That's okay with us, because BBPH has always stood, above all else, for professionalism. ~Billy Bob
